Minimum installation distances

Once we have determined the propeller diameter, it is important to know if there is room enough in the post to fix the propeller. In order to prevent vibrations and have a good performance, we ought to leave the correct spaces. On the drawing, we can see those spaces or minimum installation distances, that are refered to diameter in %. In case we have not enough room to install the selected propeller (according to the application or service we want), we will have to choose the ratio gearbox, blade design and surface of the blades, that can give us the best efficiency for that case.

Please take note: We will be pleased to advise you before choosing the ratio gearbox in order to avoid the possibility that the propeller diameter results bigger than the room there is for it, and that makes the propeller loose efficiency.
